BCTS BC Bid Solicitation Standard The Contractor shall provide the following Services during Spring Planting on an area of approximately 525.1ha, located across the Kamloops Timber Supply Area: (a) monitor the performance of the Planting Contractor for compliance with the terms and conditions of the Planting Contract; and notify the Ministry Representative of any contraventions. (b) act as a liaison between the Planting Contractor and the Ministry Representative (c) perform pre-planting site inspections and layout, as requested by the Ministry Representative; (d) perform planting pay plots and Regen/Stocking plots utilizing the same plot center; (e) perform reefer, FIST, and planter stock handling and care including temperature testing and moisture assessments. (f) schedule, record and conduct individual block Pre-works to review potential safety issues, treatment, request keys, species, density, best micro sites and seedling allocation; (g) maintain a planting daily record and daily diary of all activities, which will include observations of Planting Contractor performance, specifically but not limited to: species mixes, densities, and productivity, contraventions of the Planting Contract, weather conditions and any significant conversations with the Planting Contractor respecting the performance of work under the Planting Contract or Pre-work Conferences.
