The purpose of this notice is to invite interested construction contractors to attend an online industry briefing regarding the upcoming Request for Tender (RFT) for the Intermediate Level Waste Capacity Increase (ILWCI+) Project at the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation's (ANSTO) Lucas Heights campus. The ILWCI+ Project involves the construction of a new Intermediate Level Waste storage facility within ANSTO's highly regulated operational environment. The project includes significant reinforced concrete structures, specialist fabricated components, mechanical and electrical services, and the integration of process systems requiring high standards of quality assurance, traceability, inspection and testing. The Commonwealth is seeking to engage with suitably qualified and experienced contractors who have demonstrated capability in the delivery of complex industrial, infrastructure, process, energy, manufacturing, defence, or similarly regulated projects. The industry briefing will provide an overview of : the ILWCI+ Project scope and objectives; the proposed procurement and delivery strategy; the anticipated contracting approach; the proposed procurement timetable The industry briefing will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams on 31 July 2026 at 2pm.
