SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE
THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The U.S. Government desires to procure industrial additive manufacturing equipment, installation, configuration, and manufacturer-led training at Fort Hood, TX. The requirement includes brand name or similar systems meeting or exceeding the capabilities of:
One (1) Xact Metal XM200G 3D metal printer (or equivalent).
• Must be an industrial-grade metal 3D printing system.
• Minimum Build Volume: Must have a build volume of at least 150 mm x 150 mm x 150 mm (5.9 in x 5.9 in x 5.9 in) using a standard build plate.
• Material Compatibility: The system must natively support and successfully print using, at a minimum, the following material profiles: Copper, Aluminum, Cast Iron, and Steel alloys.
• Must include necessary environmental or safety mechanisms standard for metal powder bed fusion or equivalent metal printing technologies (e.g., integrated inert gas/powder handling architecture)
The Contractor shall deliver, install, configure, calibrate, and verify full operational capability, and provide manufacturer-led training sufficient to certify Soldiers in safe and effective operation, as defined in the Salient Characteristics, except for those items identified as Government-furnished, on a small business set-aside basis, provided 2 or more qualified small businesses respond to this sources sought notice with information sufficient to support a set-aside. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside. We encourage all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price.
