This is a combined sole source synopsis / solicitation published for informational purposes only. This proposed action is for the procurement of idesign system advanced customvue keycards for the medical treatment facility at wright-patterson air force base. See attachment 1, statement of work.
The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of far 13.106-1(b)(1).
This proposed procurement will be a sole source under north american industry classification system code (naics) 339115: ophthalmic goods manufacturing. Business size standard for naics 339115 is 1, 000 employees. Psc/fsc code: 6515: medical and surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
The proposed source is amo sales & service, inc., 1700 e st andrew pl., santa ana, ca 92705-4933. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, quotation or exception to the intent to purchase on a sole source basis, which shall be considered by the government, if received by thursday, 27 september 2018, 02:00 p.m. Est. In order to comply with far 5.207(c)(15), the reason for lack of competition is as follows: the government requires idesign system advanced customvue keycards to treat laser in-situ kera tomileusis (lasik) and photorefractive keratectomy (prk) refractive eye procedures consisting of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism conditions.
