Landsvirkjun, intends to initiate the construction of a 95 MW hydropower plant at the river Þjórsá in southern Iceland. The project name is Hvammur Hydroelectric Project or Hvammur HEP. The objective of this Preliminary Market Consultation is to notify interested parties of Landsvirkjun-s procurement plans and requirements for 2 penstocks for Hvammur HEP made from steel, contract HVM-36 Penstocks.Assist Landsvirkjun in its preparations for that procurement process, including obtaining certain market information in respect of the technical requirements, pricing and availability and invite interested parties to submit Expression Of Interest. Since this is a Preliminary Market Consultation process and not a procurement process, Landsvirkjun does not commit to undertake any procurement process in respect of these projects and/or award any contracts(s) in this procedure.
