Tender Details

The purpose of this project is to complete the decommissioning of Cells 2 and 3 at the Humboldt landfill site in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and the design specifications provided by the Owner-s Engineer. The work includes grading, capping, and site restoration to ensure long-term stability, environmental protection, and compliance with applicable provincial and municipal regulations. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Earthworks: Excavation, backfilling, and compaction of soil to achieve the final contours for both cells. Cover and Soil Placement: Placement of engineered clay, granular materials, and topsoil as required for final cell capping. Environmental Controls: Installation of erosion control measures, drainage reconstruction, and seeding to promote vegetation establishment. Equipment and Labour: Provision of all labour, equipment, and supervision necessary to safely complete the work. This project will be conducted under the terms of CCDC 18-2023 - Civil Works and in compliance with NWPTA and CFTA trade agreements. The successful Contractor will be responsible for executing all work in a safe, environmentally responsible manner, coordinating with the Owner-s Engineer, and delivering fully decommissioned Cells 2 and 3.
