Ratificationof Law Number 4 of 2023 concerning Development and Strengthening of theFinancial Sector (P2SK Law) by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, JokoWidodo on January 12, 2023, is a milestone in financial sector reform inIndonesia. This legislation is a cornerstone in the ongoing evolution of thefinancial sector in Indonesia, setting the stage for enhanced stability andgrowth. The P2SK Law is envisioned to be a catalyst for comprehensive financialsector reform, aiming to enhance the resilience of the financial system againstshocks, improve the sector's competitiveness, and ultimately contribute to thenation's economic stability and development.The FinancialSystem Stability Committee (KSSK), supported by its Secretariat, plays apivotal role as mandated by the P2SK Law. The KSSK is the linchpin in thearchitecture of Indonesia's financial stability framework, tasked with thecritical functions of monitoring the health of the financial system, maintaining stability, and managing crises should they arise. The Secretariatof KSSK, as the operational arm of the committee, is instrumental in executingthese functions effectively.To uphold thecommitments of the KSSK as stipulated in the P2SK Law, there is an imperativeneed to fortify the capacity and knowledge base of the Secretariat. Thisenhancement is crucial for understanding and implementing the mandates of theP2SK Law. Strengthening the Secretariat's capabilities is expected to bolsterthe KSSK's policy framework, particularly in areas that are vital for financialstability. This includes roadmap for developing human resources forfinancial services, including supporting professions and professions in thefinancial services sector.Given thebreadth and complexity of these areas, technical assistance is essential forthe KSSK Secretariat to enhance its institutional and human resourcecapacities. This assistance will empower the Secretariat to fulfil its key rolein carrying out the mandates of the P2SK Law effectively....
