Description

This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested.

The solicitation number W913E524Q0014 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This requirement is a total set-aside for small business concerns.

The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332311- Prefabricated Metal Building and Component Manufacturing, which has a small business size standard of 750 employees. This requirement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with FAR 19.502-2.

The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL), Biogeochemical Sciences Branch (BSB) requires the procurement of two enclosed high tunnels greenhouses for current and incoming project work. Greenhouses will be utilized to create a controlled growing area over containment test cells. The structures need to allow photosynthetically active radiation into the test cells while controlling precipitation entry. The greenhouses are required for when the ground thaws in Hanover, NH for setup to occur in time to meet project milestones and deliverables.

Specifications: The Contractor must provide two (2) enclosed high tunnels 30- wide by 96- long with 6 mil greenhouse film, rollup sides and finished end walls with roll up doors meeting the specifications below:

• 16-gauge galvanized steel frame with a minimum of 2.375" OD, a minimum of three rows of 1.315" OD 17-gauge purlins, rafter spacing a maximum of 6, and a sidewall height a minimum of 6-

• 6 mil 4-year Clear Greenhouse Film with a minimum of 90% light transmission, UV resistance and a 4-year warranty

• 30-W rafter support for heavy snow
