This is a request for information (rfi) only. There is no solicitation package available. The naval air warfare center lakehurst is requesting information pertaining to the availability of a system for functional or operational testing of high speed serial buses for the consolidated automated support system (cass) family of testers (fot), including cass, reconfigurable transportable cass (rtcass), and electronic cass (ecass). For the purposes of this rfi, the new item will be called the high-speed subsystem. The system will be required to operate while installed under the cass fot's ancillary equipment fixture (aef) shelf and communicate via ancillary communication bus. The system will be used at shore-based sites, mobile maintenance facilities (mmf), and aboard ships, with an operational life of no less than 20 years. The immediate platform set to utilize the system will be v-22 for the integrated avionics processor. Eventually, the system will be integrated to be used to support multiple systems across multiple aircraft, including f/a-18e/f, ea-18g, p-8a, ch-53k, and e-2d.
Nominal preliminary requirements for the system include:
1. Shall be capable of operating in multiple modes; unclassified, classified operation mode and developmental mode.
