Tender Details

The Institute of Chemistry is planning to purchase a femtosecond laser system. The laser system will consist of two parts: a Yb-based femtosecond oscillator/amplifier operating at 100 kHz and designed to pump an optical parametric amplifier (OPA) followed by differential ffrequency mixing is used for tunable mid-IR pulses. The laser system is used for two types of experiments: transient IR spectroscopy, covering time scales from femtoseconds to seconds, 2D IR spectroscopy, and the combination of both. For transient spectroscopy in mIn the middle IR range, the laser system is electronically synchronized with an existing Ti:Sa laser system, which requires that the repetition rate of the oscillator of one of the two laser systems, preferably the newly acquired Yb laser system, be controlled by piezo control of its resonator lengthcan be quickly fine-tuned in a specific frequency range.
