f of vancouver coastal health, of its intent to directly award a contract w
ith the following supplier to provide one (1) hemodynamic monitoring ("macl
abs") and data management system upgrade for vancouver general hospital.

as per the guidelines of the canada-wide agreement on internal trade (ait)
and the new west partnership trade agreement (nwpta), bc clinical and suppo
rt services society on behalf of the vancouver coastal authority has chosen
not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reasons:
to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems, exclusive rights, c
opyright and patent rights, or to maintain specialized products that must b
e maintained by the manufacturer or its representative;
vancouver general hospital (vgh) is currently utilizing ge maclab/combolab
equipment in their cardiac catheterization program. Software/hardware upgr
ades are required to maintain compatibility with new angiography equipment,
existing workstations and other acute care sites whom share regional softw
are platforms and regional file server/reporting systems.
Vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed writte
n objection to the attention of adrieana radu, buyer, by email to adrieana.radu@hssbc.ca before 2:00pm pacific time, november 22, 2016. Bc clinical and support se
