Invitation to prequalification for notice of intent to direct awardissued: november 14, 2016file # bccss 00091bc clinical and support services societynotice is hereby given by bc clinical and support services society on behalf of vancouver coastal health, of its intent to directly award a contract with the following supplier to provide one (1) hemodynamic monitoring ("maclabs") and data management system upgrade for vancouver general hospital.ge healthcare2300 meadowvale blvd.mississauga ontario l5n 5p9as per the guidelines of the canada-wide agreement on internal trade (ait) and the new west partnership trade agreement (nwpta), bc clinical and support services society on behalf of the vancouver coastal authority has chosen not to proceed with a competitive process for the following reasons:to ensure compatibility with existing products/systems, exclusive rights, copyright and patent rights, or to maintain specialized products that must be maintained by the manufacturer or its representative; vancouver general hospital (vgh) is currently utilizing ge maclab/combolab equipment in their cardiac catheterization program. Software/hardware upgrades are required to maintain compatibility with new angiography equipment, existing workstations and other acute care sites whom share regional software platforms and regional file server/reporting systems.vendors who wish to challenge this decision should submit a detailed written objection to the attention of adrieana radu, buyer, by email to adrieana.radu@hssbc.ca before 2:00pm pacific time, november 22, 2016.
