This assignment concerns the engineering & design, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the HELIOS-Pb facility based on the conceptual design provided by the client. For SCK CEN this represents a turn-key project: the contractor will manage the entire process from design to delivery, providing a complete, ready-to-use product or facility for the contracting authority. The installation (part of the SMR-LFR program) will be a pool-type liquid lead facility capable of establishing and maintaining controlled thermal and chemical conditions representative of lead-cooled reactor environments. The system shall enable reliable operation in the nominal temperature range of 380-430 °C, extendable up to 500 °C.
