Description
The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey, Great Lakes Science Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan has a requirement for haulout, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the Research Vessel KIYI, home port is Ashland, Wisconsin. A sampling of the services include remove the vessel from the water to a dry dock; pressure wash and paint the hull; empty and clean tanks; clean and refurbish propellers; install trawl winch wire monitors; paint the anchor chain; preserve the chain locker; paint topsides, decks, and superstructure; repower the vessel; resiliently mount the exhaust; replace windows; provide and install a small boat; reconfigure the wet lab; and replace trawl winches. Upon completion of inspection, maintenance, and repair services, the contractor will launch the vessel. Proposals are being requested under Request for Proposals (RFP) 140G0120R0014, which will be issued at Fedbizopps.gov and FedConnect.net on or about 04/03/2020. There will be no site visit of the KIYI for this project. The offeror is responsible for monitoring the Fedbizopps.gov or FedConnect.net site for the release of the RFP and amendments (if any). A statement of work, specifications, and drawings are not available for release at this time. Proposals will be due on or about 04/03/2020 (exact date/time to be provided in the RFP). The anticipated award will be firm fixed price, issued on or about 06/01/2020. It is intended that the haul-out and associated services be performed during the period August 2020 through October 2020. The NAICS code is 336611 with a small business size standard of 1250 employees. This RFP will be set aside for small business.
