NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 5.101. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this notice is 10 U.S.C. 2304( c)(1) set forth in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, Groton CT (SSGR) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source award to Duraline, a Division of J.B. Nottingham & CO., INC., for the Hatch Casting Strip Heater parts. This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with: Federal Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-l(b) and FAR Part 12.102 for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold of $350, 000. The North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 333992-Welding and Soldering Equipment Manufacturing; the size standard is up to 1, 250 employees. Interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by January 6, 2026, at 5PM (EST). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
