Tender Details

The city of Kokkola is implementing a new construction project for the Halkokari school and daycare center, which will be located on the site of the current school that is being demolished.

The builder / client (the city of Kokkola) is looking for a design agency responsible for the structural design of the site. The procurement is carried out as a limited procedure, where the customer selects 5-8 design offices based on applications to participate in the final competition.

The object is located in the area between Halkokarintie, Kalastajatorpa and Lasimestarintie, working name Halkokari Multitoimitalo. The plan is to build a building where three will workrjaine unified school and early childhood education, which would also serve the residents and operators of the surrounding area as well as possible. Youth, health and sports services would also be located on the site. According to the preliminary calculation, the extent of the building will be approximately 12, 000 floor-m2.

The actual builder of the projectit is tentatively scheduled for 01.2026-06.2028, if the project proceeds as presented in the administrative procedure.

The new plan is being prepared and it will become law in the spring of 2024. In the plan, the number of floors of the building is 3.
