This Invitation to Tender (the “ITT”) is an invitation by the Corporation of the Municipality of Meaford (“the Municipality”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Granular Road Resurfacing, as further described in Section A of the ITT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).
The Municipality of Meaford (Meaford) is located in Grey County, on the shores of Nottawasaga Bay, a sub-basin of Georgian Bay with a population of approximately 11, 000. The Municipality covers 588.57 square kilometres of land area and is located within a beautiful natural environment that offers an abundance of charm with its extensive waterfront, authentic urban area, diverse rural and agricultural landscape and scenic views of the Niagara Escarpment.
The scope of this contract consists of the supply and delivery of Granular “A” (7/8”) Material (100%) crushed limestone to various roads throughout the Municipality of Meaford for the period of 2026, 2027 & 2028.
The work consists of the supply and delivery of Granular “A” Material (5/8) (100% crushed limestone to various roads throughout the Municipality of Meaford for a period of three years (2026, 2027, 2028). The Contractor is responsible for transporting granular to the jobsite. Trucks shall be equipped to allow material to be dumped in a thin lift along the roadway.
The granular material will be utilized for the resurfacing/re-grading of various municipal roadways that are shown on the attached Appendices.
This contract must be completed by the end of June annually.
