Explanation: In the period 2023-2026, an Interreg Flanders-the Netherlands project will take place that focuses on sustainable tourism in Grenspark Groot Saeftinghe. One of the underlying actions is a pilot project that must monitor the number of visitors and gain insight into the experiences and pressure perception of visitors and local residents (De Streekwers). Visitor movements are monitored at a maximum of 21 physically different places in the border park. Grenspark Groot Saeftinghe is located on the border of East Flanders and Zeeland and the landscape combines the characteristics of port, agriculture and nature, which makes it a unique area. It is located on the Scheldt with fertile polders and borders on the fortified city of Hulst and the World Port Antwerp. The area houses the largest brackish water scorch in Western Europe (for more information: https://www.grensparkgrootsaeftinghe.eu/). The Province of East Flanders hereby becomes the owner of the Telsystems. At 6 locations, only walking movements are counted, at 4 locations hiking and cycling movements, at 1 location only car movements and at the 10 other locations all transport modes.
