the upu global monitoring system (gms) is a upu project that aims at deploying a quality measurement across the upu members (virtually 192 countries).the gms radio frequency engineer is expected to:• to configure rfid equipment prior to its installation;• to test rfid equipment against user requirements; • to follow up the full cycle of installation of rfid equipment;• tomonitor and maintain installed rfid equipment through a network management system; • to assist end users by means of training and support.the expected profile is as follow:• university degree in telecommunications engineering or electrical engineering or computer engineering; • experience in implementing, monitoring and maintaining rfid equipment preferably in postal or logistics sectors; • knowledge of epc global standards and communication protocols;• knowledge of english and preferably french;• experience in international projects and availability to travel abroad;• flexible and team player;• available to work 100% in the gms project in exclusivity;• motivated to take part of a team highly committed to launch one of the largest projectswithin the upu community;• availability to provide consulting services at the upu international bureau premises in berne, switzerland.contract from 1st march 2018 to 31 december 2018expected to be present in upu headquarters (scheduled to be agreed)
