Tender are invited for The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to modify Solid Waste Disposal Permit No. SW2A009-30, for the Copper Basin Sanitation Service Company, to include the Cell 2 Expansion.APPLICANT INFORMATION:Landowner: Alaska Department of Natural ResourcesLandfill Operator: Copper Basin Sanitation Service CompanyLocation: Milepost 122.5 of the Richardson Highway, Glennallen, AlaskaPROJECT DESCRIPTION:The Cell 2 Expansion covers approximately 1 acre in area and is located south of the currently used Cell 1. Cell 1 has been filled close to capacity. Cell 2 was constructed as an unlined cell and slopes to the west towards a leachate sump. Leachate will be pumped from the sump as needed and disposed of in the septage lagoons located in the northwest corner of the property.
