The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) is seeking multiple contractors for the Supply and installation of Glass, Mirrors and related goods on an as needed basis at various DSBN locations.
Intent/Objective
Objective: This contract is intended to provide the DSBN Maintenance Division with Contractors that can perform routine day-to-day maintenance for the repair, supply and installation of Glass & Mirrors at various DSBN facilities in the Niagara Region. Work will be assigned through the DSBN work order system - eBASE.
The following are representative of the goods/services which may be required but not limited to:
Glass and screen replacement (scheduled and emergency)Site assessment - inspect all designated glass panels/windows to confirm dimensions, type and condition. Replacement of glass is to be like for like thickness, but all glass must be safety glass rated.Glass, mirrors or screen removal - remove existing glass panels without damaging surrounding frames and dispose of glass in accordance with best practices to prevent injury or damagesGlass & mirror installation - supply and install new glass panels. Ensure proper sealing and weatherproofing. Replace or repair any damaged glazing beads, gaskets or seals.Finish and clean up - clean all newly installed glass and remove debris from work area.This is not an all-inclusive list. Other types of goods or repairs or services may be required.
