Overview: Gisborne District Council is seeking to appoint a supplier to undertake remediation work to the walking track network within Titirangi Reserve following the cyclonic weather events. The works include reinforcing the existing tracks where dropouts have occurred by means of constructing three retaining walls and improving the resilience of the walking track network by installing stormwater management features in accordance with the approved resource consent. The Council is looking for credible suppliers who have the relevant experience, capability and capacity to deliver remediation works. They need to have experience, respect and an understanding of working within sensitive environments, namely in areas with cultural and historical significance. In addition, Council is looking for a supplier who has the desire to maximise the positive outcomes achieved through this project for the local community, mana whenua and the environment.
