Gisborne District CouncilGISBORNE DISTRICT COUNCIL. 3-WATERS OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE CONTRACT. RFx ID: 34327112. Reference #: 25-80. Close Date: Friday, 28 August 2026, 12:00 PM (Pacific/Auckland UTC+12:00). Tender Type: Request for Proposals (RFP). Region: Gisborne Overview: Gisborne District Council owns and maintains a three waters infrastructure network in the district that supplies water, wastewater, and stormwater services to connected properties. The scope of work includes the operations and maintenance of council-s drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater networks and the maintenance of selected facilities including the water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants. The scope includes a 365/24 response to network issues. Council intends to include $3 million of capital and renewal projects (within each full financial year) in the scope of work. The estimated value of the contract is approximately $7.6 million per annum, including the $3 million of capital and renewal projects. In addition, the contractor has the opportunity to competitively tender for additional work from council-s capital works programme that is approximately $15 million per annum. An initial contract term of seven years with a right of renewal, subject to performance, of a further three years (maximum contract term ten years) is proposed. The contract commences on the 01 July 2027. A generous mobilisation period has been allowed for in the tender programme. The annual contract value, opportunity to competitively tender for additional work from council-s extensive capital programme, and the contract term make this an attractive proposition. Next steps: Complete and return Appendix 1 - Proposal Acknowledgement Form indicating your intention to submit a proposal. Register for a respondent site visit. Site visits will be scheduled for the 8th and 9th of July 2026. This tender is using the new split file responses feature on GETS. The agency has indicated that they would like to rec...
