GIS framework agreement On 1 September 2026, the Norwegian Environment Agency will publish the procurement for a GIS framework agreement. The contract includes the establishment of a framework agreement for the purchase of consultancy services within geographic information systems (GIS). The framework agreement shall contribute to cover the directorate's need for expertise and capacity within GIS-related subject areas in the period 2027 to 2030. The framework agreement includes, among other things, consultancy and assistance related to: • GIS analyzes and remote sensing • Machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence • Automation, ETL, scripting and data flow • Cartography and visualization • Data modelling, metadata and standardization • GIS platforms, integrations and infrastructure • Project management for GIS-related development and analysis projects The acquisition is divided into three subcontracts: 1. GIS and analysis specialist (compulsory delivery area) 2. GIS platform specialist 3. GIS project management Suppliers can make offers for one or more subcontracts. The framework agreement's estimated value is approx. NOK 16 million excl. VAT for the entire contract period. The upper limit is NOK 20 million excl. VAT The agreement is concluded for two years from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028, with an option to extend for up to a further two years.
