Summary Details:
You are invited to submit a proposal to the Nanaimo Airport Commission (NAC) for
Geotechnical consulting services for the Nanaimo Airport - Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting
vehicle shelter expansion.
a) The Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle shelter project includes
expansion to the existing building to house the airport's 2nd emergency response
fire truck. The approximate size of the ARFF vehicle shelter expansion is 1, 600
square feet and will include a paralleled access road that connects to Taxiway C.
See the attached Architectural concept drawings for reference.
b) The project budget for the ARFF expansion is estimated to be approximately
$640, 000.
c) As built drawings of the existing ARFF Building are available for viewing by
request
d) The project will be constructed under a Construction Management form of
contracting.
e) The projects will follow the National Building Code of Canada 2015 (NBC)
