SPECIAL NOTICENOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEGEO Mx GENE PANELSThe Department of Veterans Affairs Cleveland Medical Center (CLE VAMC), 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 334510 with a small business size standard of 1, 250. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with NanoString Technologies, 530 Fairview Avenue North, Suite 2000, Seattle, WA 98109, for Geo Mx Gene Panels.These reagents are curated by NanoString, so they are the only company that makes these specific panels and reagent for our needs. These reagents are one for the detection of associated neuroinflammatory markers and are used to identify and count the number of detected markers in a homogenized sample of tissue. The spatial proteomics panels will be used to detect the upregulation of genes associated with neuroinflammation on a slide of tissue. These reagents will only work on NanoString equipment and there for can only be purchased from NanoString.
