GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE COMMONWEALTH OF DOMINICADISASTER VULNERABILITY REDUCTION PROJECTGENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICEProject ID No. P129992 The Commonwealth of Dominica has applied for financingin the amount of US$38 million equivalent from the World Bank towardthe cost of the Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project, and has received a Project Preparation Advance in the amount of US$2million, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, relatedservices and consulting servicesto be procured under this project.
The project will include the following components: Prevention and Adaptation Investments, CapacityBuilding and Data Development, Hazard Risk Management and Evaluation, Natural Disaster Response Investments and Project Managementand Implementation Support. Consulting services willbe sought for the preparation of specifications and execution of LiDAR mapping, soils surveys and hydromet system design, as well as consulting services for pre-engineering geotechnical and hydrologicalinvestigations, and design and supervision of civil works. Computer equipment, hydromet and environmental data collectionequipment, engineering test equipment, distribution pipes, and civil works contracts for road works and storm drainage systems willbe procured under ICB procedures. Works related to water storage and laying of supply/distribution pipes will be procured under NCBprocedures, Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures asspecified in the World Bank''s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works, and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by WorldBank Borrowers, January 2011and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.
