This project will provide Critical Access Hospitals with technical assistance to improve hospital processes such as supply management systems, integration of materials management, billing, purchasing, and patient information systems, work environment, workflow improvement, and pharmacist review of medication orders. This project should improve safety, quality, productivity and reduce costs in Mississippi healthcare.The Healthcare Lean Certificate Training must be based on the six fundamental Lean principles:· Strategic focus based on serving the patients- needs· Eliminate waste in all processes· Improve patient flow through the organization· Build process quality into every system· Respect for people with teamwork· Kaizen - Continuous process improvementThis project must be based and offered in a central location in Mississippi for Critical Access Hospitals.
