Abstract: IntroductionSouthern Waters Water Resource Management Plan 2019 (WRMP19) proposes the provision ofWater Recycling to support existing water resources in drought events up to a 1 in 200 yearreturn period. From this plan there is a requirement for the Design, Construction and potentialoperation of four Water Recycling Plants (WRPs). Southern Waters long term strategy, includesfurther utilisation of the water recycling process, AMP8 and beyond. Two of the projects set topioneer the application of water recycling within the UK are to be constructed close to Maidstoneand one close to Littlehampton. The plants are required to be constructed and commissioned by31 March 2027.
