Tender are invited for Conducting friction equipment evaluations to provide improved calibration and harmonization procedures on all friction measurement devices in attendance and to conduct the friction measurement device operators training course.FHWA`s currently has a total of 15 friction/texture testing devices: two Continuous Friction Measurement Equipment (CFME) that are self-contained - a U.S. Dynatest Highway Friction Tester (HFT), a British SCRIM, one CFME that is contained in a trailer - Findlay-Irving GripTester, six Dynamic Friction Testers (DFT) and five Circular Texture Meters (CTM). It is imperative that the friction testing industry work towards developing a relationship between all the various types of testing equipment.
