This assignment aims to prepare design studies for the realization of various projects regarding integrated water policy, aimed at achieving a good ecological status in watercourses, improving structural characteristics, improving water quality, combating dehydration, combating flood damage and enhancing the water experience. To this end, the VMM and various other partners work together to address bottlenecks along Flemish roads through a source-oriented and coordinated approach. and subsequent local water bodies to find solutions. The assignments relate to relatively minor interventions such as: bank restoration and reinforcement, local reprofiling of banks, construction of dikes, demolition works, minor interventions within the bed (current deflectors, rock deposits, etc.), etc.… .
