Smartphone Basic phone UZ Leuven is a university hospital where patients can count on specialized care and innovative treatments combined with humane attention and respect for every person. Nearly 10, 000 passionate people deliver every day employees the best possible customized care. To continue to guarantee the best possible care, it was decided to replace the existing system of DECT devices. The assignment fits within the Contracting Authority's strategic choice to evolve towards a... “Mobile First” communication model in which mobile devices (smartphones and specific basic phones) function as primary communication tools for care and support processes. The requested solution is based on Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) as the primary one speech technology, supplemented with mobile networks where necessary and should support the phased phasing out and replacement of the existing DECT infrastructure. The contracting authority wants a solution that meets the following: - replacement of all DECT devices by smartphones and basic phones - integration with existing and new apps including nurse call systems, EPD, internal alarm systems. - high reliability for critical communications - minimum 5 years of support on devices, updates and security patches The assignment includes the delivery of devices.
