Framework agreement for grinding and reuse of garden waste
Background Steinkjer municipality's waste disposal unit needs to establish a new framework agreement for handling garden waste that is received and collected at the Tranamarka recycling station. The purpose of the procurement is to ensure continued operation and a predictable solution for grinding, hauling and post-use of the garden waste in the coming contract period. Since 2021, the municipality has had an agreement with an external supplier for these services. The existing agreement has expired, and it is therefore necessary to carry out a new competition to cover the ongoing need. The procurement will help ensure that collected masses are handled in an efficient, safe and environmentally sound manner, and that the material goes to a suitable end-use with good resource utilization. For the suppliers, it is relevant to be aware that the assignment concerns garden waste from a municipal recycling station, and that the implementation must be adapted to the operation of the facility. Emphasis is therefore placed on good coordination with the station, safe execution and documentation of where the masses are delivered after treatment.
