A port where companies can flourish now and in the future and ensure income and jobs. And all with the minimal possible impact on the climateand nature and zero CO2 emissions in 2050.

The strategy of the Port of Rotterdam Authority towards a CO₂ neutral, circular economy rests on four pillars:

1. Increasing the efficiency and installing infrastructure;

2. Renew the energy system by switching from fossilenergy carriers on green electricity and hydrogen;

3. Renewing the raw defense system;

4. Making the transport more sustainable.
