Nature of the asbestos inventory This framework agreement concerns the preparation of asbestos inventories for a large number of buildings in the territory of the city of Antwerp. An important distinction is made between 2 types of asbestos inventories: Asbestos inventory of exposure risks (limited) This concerns the preparation of asbestos inventories that must be drawn up by the employer under the law (Royal Decree of 16 March 2006). The city plans to have such asbestos inventories drawn up of the buildings in which it employs staff (regardless of the ownership rights of the building). This concerns the inventory of all asbestos/asbestos-containing material that could lead to exposure under normal circumstances. to the employees, whereby parts of the building that are difficult to reach do not need to be inventoried. (RD of March 16, 2006). All materials and applications are suspected for each room, building section, work equipment or protective equipment it is inventoried that they contain asbestos and that they may pose an exposure risk within the meaning of the legislation. Since this inventory only relates to visually observable and accessible applications suspected of asbestos, it is not suitable to be used as a basis for construction works, demolition works or asbestos removal works, for which a destructive asbestos inventory is always required.
