Enclosed is a solicitation package from the Contracting Office at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, West Virginia. This acquisition is for various food service products needed for the facility. The package contains all necessary information for submitting a Request for Quote (RFQ) 15B10126Q00000017, which will be evaluated. All potential quoters are advised that this solicitation includes the provision 52.204-7 System for Award Management. This provision reads: FAR 52.204-7(b)(1) “An Offeror is required to be registered in SAM when submitting an offer or quotation and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation.”.
Quoters must include their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) in their quotes. Vendors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM), www.sam.gov. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the SAM database prior to the award by entering the potential awardee-s UEI number into the SAM database. Failure to complete the registration procedures outlined in this clause may result in the elimination from consideration for award.
