Project Description :DCLC is directly responsible for the delivery of Defence outputs, in the form of essential linguistic capability. DCLC-s ‘core- foreign language training courses are delivered in part by permanent civil servant tutors. This in-house capability is augmented, when required, by contractor tutors,
For other ‘bespoke- languages, courses are delivered entirely by contractor tutors. Appendix 1 provides a list of all in-scope FLT languages with colour coding to differentiate between ‘core- and ‘bespoke-. It also provides an indication of language difficulty, course lengths and frequency of course delivery based on the current MoD policy and aligned to the relevant NATO 6001 STANAG levels . Language proficiency levels are expressed using a Standardised Language Profile (SLP) which reflects the four skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.
