Tender are invited for Pile supported foundations; elevated stainless steel digester gas piping up to 18"; galvanized structural steel and stainless steel pipe supports; buried high density polyethylene (HDPE) piping, mainly in 6 and 8"; new and modifications to existing glass lined steel piping in the digester gallery, mainly in 6 and 8"; buried HDPE piping for a new PG&E gas service; 8" grinder and flow meter with associated mechanical, electrical and controls; hazardous soils and groundwater handling; site paving, grading, storm drains, fencing, and gates; site security system including card readers, badge readers, closed circuit television, and automatic controls for traffic gates; electrical work including underground ductbanks, and power for site lighting and gate operators; instrumentation and controls work including underground ductbanks, new interface programmable logic controller (PLC), and digester gas flow meters.
Notes : The District will conduct a pre-bid jobsite conference/inspection to familiarize prospective bidders with the project site and conditions. The pre-bid meeting will be conducted on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Bidders/bid walk attendees (Attendees) shall assemble at the District''s Main Wastewater Treatment Plant, in the Administration Building, Laboratory Library, at 2020 Wake Avenue, Oakland, California. This is the only time that the worksite will be open for inspection. The inspection will last approximately 1.5 hours. No photography by the Attendees will be allowed. The District will take photographs, as requested by the Attendees, restricted to the work zone. The District will release photographs to Attendees after the bid walk, pending review by District. All Attendees are required to have a photo ID and sign a confidentiality agreement not to share, sell, or publish photos. The Prime Contractor and its subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend the jobsite inspection where a sign-in sheet will be provided. Requirements of the District''s Contract Equity Program will be discussed and explained at the pre-bid meeting.This project has a "prevailing wage" requirement.
