Tender Details

Food Act 13 is the regional food distribution platform in South West Flanders. It focuses on poverty reduction, avoiding food surpluses and activation. Food Act 13 collects surplus fresh food every day from supermarkets and bakeries and farmers. These surpluses are sorted and processed according to the FASFC regulations at the location. A cold room and freezer space is required to process these fresh food surpluses. The fresh food surpluses are delivered daily distributed to the various food distribution organizations in the region. These organizations distribute fresh food to people in a vulnerable situation: they thus have access to a more varied and balanced consumption pattern. Fresh food is also possible are stored in the cold room and the freezer room. The current location in Kuurne no longer meets the needs of the operation. Food Act 13 is therefore moving to a new location in Kanaal 127. This location is a warehouse where all work still needs to be done.
