PUC Services Inc. (PUC) & PUC Group of Companies (Northern Waterworks Inc., Watertight Lining Solutions, PUC Transmission LP, 17 Trees), current security firewall technology is approaching end-of-life and requires replacement with Next Generation technology. The PUC has limited resources to dedicate to the entire install, setup and migration of services and intends to outsource all services. PUC will provide support resources for the decommissioning and migration of the existing and rack and stack of the equipment. The Proponent should develop plans such that the new Deliverables are fully operational by target date of November 2025, with all functionalities ready for migration. The replacement in upgrading our existing firewalls are to provide security protection for modern and zero-day threats, to provide increased availability, and position for future cyber security expansion of our utility operations. This goes beyond simply writing firewall rules that block network ports or address ranges. The desired firewall solution must prevent advanced and polymorphic security threats, including malware, botnet, command-and-control traffic, drive-by downloads and zero-day client and server exploits and geo-blocking.
