This procurement relates to the delivery of portable pump s. Previously these have been supplied by companies with agencies located in New Zealand who supply fire and safety equipment. We wish to procure portable pump s which address New Zealand Fire Service (NZFS) and the National Rural Fire Authority (NRFA) operational requirements. These standards and specifications have been revised to reflect the actual needs in the field. Portable pumps are an essential tool in the fire service arsenal. They are deployed for crucial pumping tasks including vegetation firefighting, suppressing structure fires, general non-reticulated firefighting, supplementary urban firefighting water supply, salvage, water tanker filling and in place of PTO pumps on some appliances. To carry out these functions a variety of different portable pumps are required. We have determined 5 categories of portable pump that will cover the range of work:

-c Heavy
-c Water Transfer
-c Vegetation
