Tenders are invited for Farm Equipment and Associated Services.


1. The Union of the Republic of Myanmar has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Climate Friendly Agribusiness Value Chains Sector Project (the “Project”), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

2. The Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation (“the Purchaser”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for GD03: Farm Equipment and Associated Services (Lots 1 to 4) with nature, and complexity similar to the scope of supply described in Section 6 (Schedule of Supply). The supplier shall have service centers located in Myanmar and provide written confirmation of spare parts availability for seven (7) years from date of supply. Bids are being invited for individual contracts (lots) or for any combination of contracts (packages)

3. International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB-s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Documents.

4. Only eligible Bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

• Financial: The Bidder shall have a minimum average annual turnover of:
o For Lot 1 USD 245, 000
o For Lot 2 USD 1, 000, 000
o For Lot 3 USD 60, 000
o For Lot 4 USD 280, 000

calculated as total payments received by the Bidder for contracts completed or under execution over the last three (3) years.

• Experience: The Bidder shall have successful completion as main supplier within the last three (3) years, of at least two (2) contracts each valued at:

o For Lot 1 USD 100, 000
o For Lot 2 USD 425, 000
o For Lot 3 USD 25, 000

o For Lot 4 USD 110, 000 with nature, complexity similar to the scope of supply described in Section 6 (Schedule of Supply). The Supplier shall have service centers located in Myanmar, and provide written confirmation of spare parts availability for seven (7) years from date of supply.

6. Submit your bid:

• on or before the deadline: 20 November 2020 at 14:00 hours (Myanmar Time);

and

• together with a scanned copy of the original Bid-Securing Declaration as described in the Bidding Document.

Late bids and hardcopy submissions will not be accepted.

Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline for bid submission. Bidders will have the option to attend the electronic bid opening via an online conferencing system.

The link to the virtual opening will be sent to the bidders seven days prior to the opening.

7. The Purchaser will not be responsible for any cost or expense incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.
