This notice is for fall viewing opportunity only for possible solicitation in fy 2019. Due to anticipated snow conditions at the time of issue for this project, this fall may be the only time that offerors will have the opportunity to see this proposed project.
The fremont-winema national forest plans to collect conifer seed across the forest in fiscal year 2019 emphasis species include: whitebark pine, ponderosa pine, incense cedar and sugar pine. This collection is cone crop and budget dependent and will not be determined until cone surveys can be made in the spring/summer of fy2019.
Collection is to be made from established genetic sites including seed orchards, and seed production areas in addition to natural stands. Emphasis will be placed on the breeding zones within the watson creek fire area, paisley ranger district. Whitebark pine is generally collected in known sites across the seven dstricts.

There will be no scheduled showing trip, nor will forest service employees accompany prospective bidders to project sites. However, it is the offeror's responsibility to determine the actual site condition and only by physical inspection, can offerors assure themselves of the existing conditions.
