UNICEF in Nicaragua implements actions in the programmatic areas of health, nutrition, child development; education; child protection; water, sanitation and hygiene; communication, social and behavior change; and monitoring and evaluation with their institutional partners as part of the current Cooperation Program 2024-2028. Some of the activities contemplated in the work plans of government institutions require direct execution by UNICEF, and include expense management operational at the subnational level, both in communities and at the municipal level. These operating expenses may be the hiring or rental of premises, catering services, purchases of office materials, reimbursement payments for mobilization, hosting, as well as small technical service contracts.
