The assignment concerns the facade renovation of the original residential wing of the Ter Durme residential care center in Lokeren, which is the oldest building part from the 1970s, commissioned by Zorgbedrijf Sakura. The renovation relates to this original building part. The necessary finishes and watertight connections must be provided at the connections to the later extensions of the care complex. The works include: ▪the demolition of the existing concrete facade elements; ▪the installation of a new insulated and ventilated facade system with aluminum finish; ▪the renovation of the terraces and balustrades; ▪local adjustments to the facade to optimize fire safety The exterior carpentry and existing sun blinds are retained. The building will remain in use throughout the entire implementation. The works must therefore be carried out in phases, in continuous coordination with the client and operation of the residential care center, with special attention to the accessibility and safe passage of residents, visitors and staff, as well as to limit nuisance. The contractor must pay special attention to safety on the site and in the immediate vicinity of a healthcare building in use, in accordance with the applicable safety regulations and rules of good workmanship.
