Synopsis: This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and the solicitation will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities website. The solicitation number is CT2278-20 and this solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposals (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-101. The North American Industry Classification System code is 313240 knit fabric mills, the SBA small business size standard is 500 employees.This requirement is SET-ASIDE 100% FOR SMALL BUSINESS. UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. intends to enter into a one (1) year with two (2) options, firm-fixed price Requirements type contract for the following commercial item: 100 percent polyester terry microfiber (400 filament - 48 filaments warp per inch) warp knitted with polyester scrim. The fabric shall conform to the requirements in Section 3.4.1, Table I of GL/PD 11-09A dated 8/18/2011. The finished cloth is for use in manufacturing a terry microfiber washcloth treated with a soil release finish for Army personnel.PLEASE REFER TO ALL DOCUMENTS IN THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE IN ORDER TO PROPERLY SUBMIT A PROPOSAL.
