A summary of the work to be carried out is presented: The consultancy aims to develop an analysis of child labor in digital environments in America Latin America and the Caribbean, in order to generate technical inputs and public policy recommendations for its prevention, identification and approach. The study will analyze modalities of participation of girls, boys and adolescents in mediated economic activities by digital technologies, including content platforms, work on digital platforms, data economies, gaming, e-sports and other emerging forms. The dynamics, risks and conditions in which these activities are carried out and their consequences will be examined. implications in terms of protection, education and comprehensive development. Through an approach that combines conceptual review, regulatory analysis and compilation of qualitative information—including cases and input from key actors—the consultancy will identify regulatory gaps, challenges and good practices in existing public policy frameworks. On this basis, recommendations will be developed aimed at incorporating the phenomenon into relevant national frameworks, particularly those linked to the prevention and eradication of child labor.
