The overarching objective is to build Australian communities' disaster resilience by improving accessibility and inclusivity of key disaster information, including types of extreme weather, their impacts, and ways to mitigate risks at a household and community level. By promoting consistent messaging, the initiative aims to strengthen communication about natural hazards across Australia and between local, district, regional, state and federal levels thereby increasing disaster awareness and preparedness. Funding is provided through a grant from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in accordance with the 'Disaster Risk Reduction - Accessible and inclusive community education resources for natural hazards' guidelines.Under the requirements of the grant. deliverables are currently expected by 30 June 2025.
