Prequalifications are invited for Expansion and Development of the Port of Tripoli Project Infrastructure/Transport.

This invitation for prequalification follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in [Insert Name of Newspaper] No. [Insert number] of [insert date] on-line.

The Government of Lebanon has applied for a finance from the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) toward the cost of the Expansion and Development of the Port of Tripoli Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for Constructions of Buildings and infrastructures Project-Package J. Bidding will be governed by the Islamic Development Bank-s eligibility rules and procedures.

Tire Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for the Constructions of buildings and infrastructures Project-Package 1. The project consists mainly of a Compound Building including Administration, Cargo, Container Building, Custom, Army Offices, Dormitory General Security Building and Harbor Master Office Building and comprises also of a Warehouse, Fire Station, Control Rooms, Control kiosks, Water Reservoir and Pump Station, Underground Fuel Tank, Generators Plant and Switching Station, and Four Electrical Substation and Rail link and Rail stabling within the port. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in April 2019.

Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank-s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works, May 2009 and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in (lie guidelines.

Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect die prequalification document at the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) (address below) from 9:00 to 16:00 hours from Monday till Friday. A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested Applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of LL 750, 000 or in USD 500. The method of payment will be in the form of a bank check from a bank located in Lebanon or from a foreign bank with a correspondent in Lebanon. The document will be sent by international courier services.
