overview:

the purpose of this rfp is to invite submissions from professional, highly qualified

executive search firms to facilitate the selection of a new, bilingual city

manager. firms

must possess experience at recruiting at the executive level in atlantic canada,

and have

the capacity to reach across the country, yet be sensitive to the unique nature

of atlantic

canada, new brunswick and moncton''s leadership role in each.

the city of moncton is currently searching for a highly skilled and visionary

bilingual city

manager, as the former city manager has resigned from the position after seven

(7) years of

service. the city manager position provides a pivotal leadership role, and works

closely

with the city''s elected mayor, ten (10) councillors, and the people of the city

of moncton

to foster continuous growthand development plans for the city. the city manager

also

leads a team of approximately 600 staff who are on the leading edge of policy and

program

development and service delivery in atlantic canada, and manages a budget of approximately

$215 million dollars annually.
